Pocas ocasiones por ambos bandos, si bien la primera media hora de partido fué de acoso y derribo por parte del Bayern que no supo concretar en gol, luego el Atletico de Madrid lo intentó en un par de ocasiones, y en la segunda mitad sólo la carga de los primeros 15 minutos del Bayern pudo incomodar a Jan Oblak, el Atletico no hizó ademán en ningun momento de presionar arriba al Bayern o de marcar siquiera el gol definitivo que sentenciase la eliminatoria.
